After her debut on Television in the TV action drama DRIVE, Emma Stone swiftly entered in big celluloid screen of Hollywood and made her feature film debut in the movie Superbad which was released in 2007. In 2008, she appeared in The House Bunny and the year 2009 proved to be a major career milestone for her as she starred in the horror-comedy Zombieland and she also starred in the indie comedy Paper Man. In 2010, she was nominated for a Golden Globe for best actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role in the high school comedy Easy A.
However, the impression that she left in the horror-comedy Zombieland was unique and strong enough to create a big fan base for her and now; she is all prepared to head back towards the world of zombies again.
Emma Stone appeared as Jesse Eisenberg’s love interest in the movie Zombieland and now she has been offered the lead role in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Zombies will be created under the banner of Lionsgate and it is being directed by Craig Gillespie.
The story takes a shot on classic Jane Austin tale featuring Elizabeth Bennet’s quest for true love and independence. The story throws in an outbreak of a deadly virus that can dangerously turn the dead into zombies.
However, the competition of Emma Stone is quite tough. Other prominent Hollywood stars like Mia Wasikowska and Anne Hathaway are also trying to get this role yet, nothing has been decided so far.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is being produced by Natalie Portman. Annette Savitch, Richard Kelly, Sean McKittrick and Tedd Hamm are the co-producers.
During her teenage, Emma Stone was an associated member of Valley Youth Theater which is one of the popular regional theater in Phoenix, Arizona. At the age of 11, she appeared in her first theater drama, The Winds and the Willow.
At the age of sixteen she became a well-known theatrical face in Phoenix, Arizona as she appeared in many dramas including A Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas Tail, The Princess and the Pea, Cinderella, The Wiz, Titanic, Honk!, The Little Mermaid, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Alice in Wonderland, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. During these years, she was homeschooled.
Stone, repped by WME and Anonymous Content, just wrapped The Amazing Spider-Man in which she plays Gwen Stacy.
It is difficult to suggest why people love stories related with Zombies, however, it is a well-known fact that every other movie that tells a story of zombies, becomes an instant hit.
I think one of the reasons for why we love zombies is because zombies are the only monsters or threats that a normal, everyday slub has a chance against. There's no super powers needed, no special rare material, but instead a regular person can kill and hold out against a regular zombie. We don't need to be another person or escape too far outside of reality to envision being the hero in this sort of fantasy.
In any case, if Emma Stone gains this role against Mia Wasikowska and Anne Hathaway, it would be a great opportunity for her to again affirm her acting skills and win millions of hearts.
