Keukenhof flower gardens
Today we want to talk about Keukenhof flower gardens and share with some creative photos with you. The largest park of bulbous flowers in the world is located near the town of Lisse in the province of South Holland, between Amsterdam and The Hague. In an area of 32 hectares hundreds of varieties of tulips, irises, daffodils, amaryllis, roses, orchids are grown. It is perhaps one of the most photographed places on the Earth in April.
Name of the park comes from the words keuken (“Kitchen”) and the hof (“yard, park, garden”). In the 15 century, the current flower gardens were parts of the hunting grounds, where the people collected herbs used for cooking.
