Irina shayk

Irina shayk biography
Irina Sheik (born Irina Shaykhlislamova) grew up in the Russian village of Yemanzhelinsk. Close with her father, whose Tartar origins blessed her with olive-toned skin, Shayk experienced a sudden tragedy at 14 years old when her father passed away from pneumonia. As a result, her mother worked multiple jobs to support the entire family, and Shayk was fortunate not to have any major health problems throughout her upbringing.
Irina Shayk Models For Sports Illustrated And Intimissimi
Irina Shayk knows all about the benefits of traveling by train. After all, that’s where a fashion executive discovered her in 2004, during a lengthy three-day trip from Chelyabinsk to Moscow. That chance encounter convinced her to pursue a career in modeling, and Shayk was soon signed by Traffic, the same agency that represents supermodels such as Anne V, Daniella Sarahyba and Natasha Poly, among many others.

After gaining official representation, Shayk was unsure of what the future would hold until finding out from her agent that she had been chosen to appear in the 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Her appearance in the magazine introduced her to an international audience and immediately led to a slew of industry work, starting with Intimissimi, which hired her as its primary model in catalogs. After inking a similar deal with La Perla, Shayk responded to her increased industry demand by signing on with apparel company Lacoste, clothing juggernaut Guess? and lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret. In addition to her full plate of contracts, Shayk continued to make annual swimsuit appearances for Sports Illustrated, in shoots that were sometimes close to home (St. Petersburg) and other times farther away (Chile).
Irina Shayk Appears In Kanye West’s “Power” And Makes The Cover Of Sports Illustrated
Irina Shayk experienced a series of professional breakthroughs in 2010. In the print world, she earned her first career magazine cover in July for Ocean Drive, which was soon followed by additional covers for GQ South Africa in August and Elle Spain. The American fashion spin-off Armani Exchange came calling, and as a result of her work there, she adorned New York City billboards and also began dating Cristiano Ronaldo. The attention of their coupling created international buzz, and Shayk’s sex appeal hit a new level of hotness when she posed nude for GQ Spain... or did she? It was later alleged by Shayk that selected shots of her GQ spread had been digitally altered to remove her clothing. She also made the jump into music videos by appearing with fellow model Diandra Forrerst in Kanye West’s “Power.”

Shayk started 2011 the same way she finished 2010: red hot. She began by gracing the January cover of the Spanish edition of Glamour, who coined her as the Best International Model of 2010. In February, David Letterman announced -- by way of a billboard -- that she had been named the Cover Girl of the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. As the perfect cap to her five-year run for Sports Illustrated, the announcement of her cover appearance will keep her industry momentum strong and leaves all eyes anticipating her next career endeavor.
